Training Programs

I offer 3 options for 1-on-1 training, tailored to your goals and skill level. Each includes practical techniques, science-backed insights and life skills.

1) Beginner - Becoming Aware

Ideal for newcomers to mindfulness or those who want to revisit the basics.

You will learn:

  • How to do mindfulness meditation (mindset, posture), common pitfalls and myths.

  • What works best for you by trying a variety of exercise styles (e.g. mindful breathing, hearing, body scans, mantra, vipassana, yoga, tai chi, reflective journaling).

  • How to create a daily routine that you can consistently practise. Consistency is vital for progress.

...and the science of:

  • Mindfulness and its benefits

  • The brain and the stress response

  • How we can i.e. rewiring our brains using neuroplasticity

Cost: $99 for 4 lessons (55mins each)

2) Intermediate - Building EQ

Ideal for those basic mindfulness who want to develop key EQ skills, gain more control of their inner worlds, and build self-love. There is homework.

You will learn:

  • More exercises (e.g. metta or loving kindness, humming bee, yoga nidra, affirmation, gratitude journaling, visualisation).

  • How to process your emotions in 3 steps (identify, feel, reframe) and build comfort with 'negative' emotions so you can be free from unhelpful thoughts and emotions and be your best self.

  • How to satisfy your own emotional needs and be more self-sufficient and confident.

...and the science of:

  • How mindfulness builds EQ

  • Emotions, their purposes, triggers, impulses, and what happens when we suppress them

  • Core human emotional needs

  • Self-esteem, negativity bias and our inner critic

3) Advanced - Living mindfully

Ideal for those with solid mindfulness who want to integrate mindfulness into all areas of life and tackle issues in dating, career, relationships, growth. There is homework in this program.

You will learn:

  • More complex exercises (e.g. open awareness, zazen, trataka, neiguan, kinhin etc).

  • How to find yourself, your true values and purpose to lead a more fulfilling and authentic life.

  • How to find more joys in everyday moments, where life is.

  • How to build nuance & balance into your thinking, beliefs and life. Social media has increased black-and-white thinking and polarising beliefs to our health's detriment.

  • How to deeply connect with people to create, maintain and improve your relationships.

  • Signs of high EQ when dating and making friends.

...and the science of:

  • Default mode network, our ego and sense of identity, mind movies

  • Motivation i.e. how we can hack our reward system (happiness chemicals) to stay motivated

  • The brain's confirmation bias

  • Role of mirror neurons for our empathy and compassion

Important Note

While anyone can practise and benefit from mindfulness, people with certain existing health issues may feel worse symptoms with mindfulness.

Please consult a medical professional (your GP, psychologist, or psychiatrist) before trying mindfulness if you:

  • Have or have had psychosis or schizophrenia.

  • Are dealing with PTSD or ever had significant trauma.

  • Are dealing with significant depression, anxiety or dissociative personality disorders.

  • Have previously felt intense discomfort during meditation.

  • Are feeling very unwell.
